About Heather

Sports and fitness have been a constant in my life, from playing multiple sports to teaching group exercise classes. After finishing my Business degree (B.B.A) from the University of Kentucky, I moved to Houston for law school. After receiving my Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from South Texas College of Law, I realized that my true passion was elsewhere and began to dedicate learning all I could about biomechanics, engineering, anatomy and joint structure.   In 1997, I started training directly at the Resistance Training Specialist Program (RTS®)  in Oklahoma City with Tom Purvis,  and  began training in Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT®) with Greg Roskopf  in 2002. Both programs have been foundational to my practice, and my continuation with both and my desire to learn more means you can expect nothing but the best from me.

I worked at several high end studios including the Houstonian Club for many years before building my own concept: Sculpt Fitness Studios. After evolving Sculpt Fitness for over 15 years and 3 locations, I decided it was time to simplify life and return to my southern roots. I developed Body Architecture Fitness in late 2019, so that I could focus solely on offering one on one solutions: Muscle Activation Techniques, Personal Training, and Pilates Reformer. Moving to a one on one model allows me to offer a level of quality most have never experienced before in fitness.  My thirst for knowledge is constant, and I am always seeking to expand my current skillsets.  I believe education is key for clients, to empower them to make better choices regarding their fitness and health. In order to get sustainable results for life, the methods MUST be sustainable.

In my spare time, you might find me spending time with my two dogs, riding my bike, doing anything active outdoors, watching sports, playing tennis, and listening to music.  I am looking forward to getting reacquainted with Tennessee after such a long absence, as I have always considered it my home.
